Organisation of BCCI

Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established in 1850 is public corporation of entrepreneurs of the capital city. BCCI represents craftsmen, traders, artisans and other service providers and their general interests via delegates, corporates and leaders elected by them, from the membership.

Effect of BCCI exceeds its members, it represents larger power as the totality of the members and its results are fruitful for all the entrepreneurs and the whole economy. Its objectives are based on meanings and expectations of the members representing entrepreneurs of the capital city. BCCI provides services willingly to its membership.

The chamber is an independent economic self-government independent from parties and free from daily politics. It is a considerable chamber on European level, rich in traditions and values that think on the long term; furthermore it is an unavoidable factor on all levels of economy and social public life of the capital city.

Its activity is characterised by transparency, honour and professionalism, and the chamber is a trademark, guard and security for ethical behaviour of entrepreneurs.  The chamber contributes to the formation of a positive view about undertakings and entrepreneurs in the society.

BCCI plays an important role in helping undertakings of the central economic region in market access and in upgrading environment of undertakings to EU-level.

The chamber participates in legislation and in establishment and implementation of long-term economic programs with fast and up-to-date operation. General questions affecting all participants of the economy are handled with priority by the chamber. The chamber bats for the interests of the entrepreneurs, even by initiation of amendment of legal regulations if required.
